In the last 18 months there have many strategic milestones for the Electrical & Communications businesses of Norfolk, and the most recent inclusion of the Newpower Electrical New Zealand business unit to the group is just another. We now have a significant Trans Tasman business operating under four strong brand names.  These being:

• O’Donnell Griffin;
• Diverse Data Communications; 
• WF Energy Controls; and
• Newpower Electrical.

ODG 's centenary celebration last year gave us the opportunity to recognise the hundreds of employees and customers who have contributed to our success and playing such a significant part in paving the way for our future.

Other milestones not so obvious to everyone but worthy of highlighting include:

• Implementation and adoption of “Salesforce” for customer management
• Formation of the ODG Service work group, across Australia and the implementation of a high technology “Field Automation” system to assist in managing field service operations 
• Establishment of Diverse Data Communications nationally, with new operations in Victoria and Western Australia and transferring of Diverse South Australia into the national business.
• Our association with the Royal Rehabilitation Centre in accident prevention research and the significant improvement in safety outcomes for all the businesses
• New look branding for O'Donnell Griffin
• Implementation of better Risk Management processes at tendering and the alignment of this with how we deliver our projects
• The successful completion of the Regional Fast Rail project and leading to the major South Improvement Alliance project with the ARTC.
• The commitment to a “values” base training across the whole company.

These and many other business initiatives are driving our business in the right direction, ensuring the vision for our company is aligned with the development and aspirations of our people.

I would like to thank our employees for their ongoing hard work and commitment, as it is only through our people that we can achieve our growth and improvement objectives for the business.  No doubt the enthusiasm and the hard working people I see everyday in our businesses, will continue to lift us to greater heights.
