Craig Golds - Divisional HR & IR ManagerCraig has been O’Donnell Griffin’s Divisional HR & IR Manager since 2005 when he joined the company. He has been working in the Human Resources field since the late eighties for a number of large manufacturing, construction and FMCG companies in both state based and national roles.Craig started his career path as an apprentice panel beater, working within the motor vehicle trade for a number of years before changing tack and pursuing a teaching degree and majoring in adult education.He has worked in both Technical Education and Correctional Services for over 10 years. During this period he also returned to studies part time and gained a Degree in Business Management.
Enrico Pecora – General Manager - Electrical
Enrico has been O’Donnell Griffin’s General Manager since 2007. He joined the combined electrical/mechanical construction businesses that today are O’Donnell Griffin and Haden.He started his career as a control systems engineer, then shifted to electrical contracting work on brewery and petrochemical sites in Sydney before moving to work on resources projects in Western Australia.Enrico has held State and Operations Manager positions in the Motor Yacht industry before living and working in Kuala Lumpur. On returning to Australia, he was an Engineering Manager in electrical contracting and control systems.Enrico holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from UNSW and an MBA (Exec). degree.
David Edwards – Divisional HSEC ManagerDavid has been O’Donnell Griffin’s Divisional Manager HSEC since 2005. He is responsible for the overall management of the company’s HSEC strategy and initiatives, working closely with business unit managers and staff to ensure sound application of HSEC procedures and practices. This also involves the communication and implementation of HSEC across the company as well as workers compensation insurance and injury claims management and a constant monitoring and revising of HSEC policies and procedures moving toward industry best practice.David started his electrical apprenticeship with O’Donnell Griffin in 1979 and then moved to direct and manage his own successful electrical contracting business for 7 years. He later returned to O’Donnell Griffin and has progressed through management and operations management roles in the electrical and electronic communications sectors.
Alan Yardley – Strategic Development Manager
Electrical Communications Business Management TeamDave Howe – General Manager Rail Dave Howe took on the role of General Manager Rail in 2007. Prior to this Dave was O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, VIC since 2004. He joined the company 25 years ago as an apprentice electrician in 1982.After completing his apprenticeship in 1986, Dave has steadily progressed through a series of increasing senior roles such as Foreman, Project Manager/Supervisor, Installations Manager, Victorian Service & Installations Manager leading to his current position as Victorian State Manager.Dave has successfully completed a series of professional development courses in business management and development, estimating and contract administration as well as achieving industry accredited qualifications.
Phil Tilden – State Manager New South Wales / Austrailan Capital TerritoryPhil has been O’Donnell Griffin’s State Manager, NSW & ACT since 2004. He joined the company in 1994 as a casual electrician and has held a range of evolving and dynamic positions from Project Manager of several ventures within BHP and North Parkes Mine to Management roles with ODG Wollongong, NSW Industrial and NSW Installations.Phil’s started his career as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic apprenticeship and he has developed extensive experience in major NSW water treatment plants and sewer diversion schemes, technical service maintenance, and a variety of other senior roles in light, commercial and heavy industrial projects.He has successfully completed a series of professional development courses in business management and development, as well as achieving industry accredited qualifications.
Thomas O’Gorman – Newpower Electrical General ManagerTom comes to Newpower Electrical with 30 years experience in electrical transmission and distribution, construction and maintenance and servicing.His most recent role was as Large Construction Manager Major Projects for Siemens energy Services, in Auckland. Previously, he managed a team of project managers and commercial managers to deliver major projects for Vector, New Zealand’s largest asset-owner.Tom will be charged with capturing new business while also looking after the interests and investments of Newpower’s existing valued clients.
Greg Skyring – QLD State ManagerGreg takes up the helm of the ODG QLD business after 35 years of experience in the industrial and electrical industries.Greg’s role is to provide leadership to the ODG State Leadership Team with primary responsibility and accountability to continue to grow, develop and deliver the business units performance in accordance with annual business plans and profit targets.Greg’s background covers a wide variety of responsibilities including an extensive management and leadership history from organisations such as Downer EDI Engineering and ABB Industry where he has held senior management positions for over 15 years.
Darrin van Vlimmeren – WA State ManagerDarrin was appointed WA State Manager in October 2007. Darrin’s most recent experience with the company has been on the Southern Suburbs Rail project, one of the largest projects undertaken by O’Donnell Griffin.Darrin’s many years of experience in the contracting industry across the Infrastructure and Industrial sectors will be well utilised in the booming WA market.
Les Cate – Business Manager WF Energy ControlsLes has been the Manager of O’Donnell Griffin’s specialist manufacturing business, WF Energy Controls, since 2002. He joined the company in 1987 as an electrical design and construct engineer, working on projects for Colgate Palmolive, CSR and Kimberly Clark.Les completed his traineeship in both telecommunications and utilities electrical distribution in New Zealand before emigrating as an electrical designer and working with major engineering companies and consultants in the UK and Australia.With 35 years of experience in electrical and communications environments, Les has worked on major projects with industry groups ranging across commercial, industrial, manufacturing and railway signalling projects, to multiservices management projects with Optus and Telstra. Les also worked on the challenging fire services systems for HMAS Manoora and HMAS Kanimbla prior to their recent deployment to active service.Les has also held business unit management roles in the corporate environment for 15 years overseeing and managing successful company rollouts and developments.
Francis has been O’Donnell Griffin’s Strategic Business Development Manager - Transport since 1999. He is responsible for the direction of the company’s major railway projects in Australia.He started his career as a telecommunications engineer in 1974. In 1982, Francis joined GEC railway Signalling Division and was involved in many projects in the Rail Industry until 1999.Francis has been a member of many multi-disciplined teams for major infrastructure and industrial projects including Northern Suburbs Transit System Proposal (WA), South-West Metropolitan Railway Proposal (WA) and the Parramatta-Chatswood Rail Link Proposal (NSW). He is instrumental in securing and overseeing major rail and transportation projects for O’Donnell Griffin
Andrew Cross – Industry Solutions Manager – Power and ServicesAndrew was appointed O’Donnell Griffin’s Industry Solutions Manager, National Service/Power in June 2006, returning to the company after 4 years of senior management positions within the Electrical Engineering and Communications industry.Andrew’s responsibilities include working with the ODG Business Managers throughout Australia in the ongoing development of their Service and Power Business Units. This involves the development of business strategies, preparation of business cases and the ongoing development of business growth activities. He is also involved in the specific identification and development of new business opportunities including the exploration of existing and new industry sectors to determine potential growth and opportunities for the ODG Group.He started his career as an electrician and CAD Design Draftsman (Electrical) and has steadily progressed through a series of increasingly senior roles in design and technical services provision as well as Management and Senior Management responsibilities. Andrew holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Adelaide University as well as Graduate & Professional Certificates in Management, an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technicians and Trades Certificates.
